Now that the elections are officially over, I would like to congratulate all the candidates for a job well done. An election campaign can be one of the most stressful and difficult endeavors of any candidates’ life and their effort to be elected to represent their constituents speaks highly of their dedication to their community.
Now that the election is over, it’s time to get to work. We are at a crucial time in Nevada. Though we have made progress in dropping the unemployment rate and improving the economy from where we were several years ago, there is still much more growth that needs to occur.
I welcome all our representatives, especially the newly elected candidates, to shift back all our focus to our constituents and do what is best for all of Nevada. I encourage all legislators to leave partisanship at the door and bring together all of our ideas and energies so that we can move the State of Nevada back to the powerhouse it is known for. Our focus should always be our communities, our constituents, our families and the benefit of the entire state.
